Gerard studied at TAFE
and did a three year apprenticeship at Des Connor Art Studio.
He has exhibited in numerous
group and solo exhibitions.
He is a former award
winning member of the Australasian wildlife art society.
Gerard is a regular
participant in the larger art prizes such as Archibald portraiture prize,
Doug Moran national portraiture prize, Blake Prize.
He formerly ran an art studio
in Carlingford teaching adults and children.
He has been Art teacher
at Macquarie Community College for over 10 years, which association
continues.
